OG with The Faves brings together the charcoal chicken family meal our guests have been building for themselves since 1998 – and puts it on the menu as one.
A whole charcoal chicken, large chips, our Toum, pickles, tabouli, a full bag of fresh Lebanese bread, and two Cheese & Garlic Pockets. Everything that made El Jannah, in the one order.
It’s available for a limited time from Monday 3 August to Sunday 1 November 2026 at participating El Jannah restaurants.

Why we called it the OG
Because it is.
El Jannah opened in Granville in 1998 – Andre and Carole Estephan, one restaurant, charcoal chicken and Toum made from scratch. Everything we’ve grown into since started there. The chicken, the bread, the garlic sauce people drive across Sydney for. The full menu is here if you want to see what else is on.
OG with The Faves isn’t a new idea. It’s the order our guests have been putting together themselves for over twenty-five years, finally given a name.
The faves, one by one
Charcoal chicken.
Marinated, then cooked slowly over charcoal – not grilled, not fried. It’s the reason there’s a queue.
Toum.
If you’ve been calling it garlic sauce, you’re not wrong – you’re just about to learn its proper name. Toum is the Lebanese garlic sauce we’ve made from scratch since day one. It goes on the chicken, in the bread, on the chips. Some of our guests order it by the tub.
Lebanese bread.
Soft, fresh, and the correct way to eat all of the above. A full bag comes with the meal, because half a bag has never once been enough.
Cheese & Garlic Pockets.
Lebanese bread, cheese and garlic, done in the charcoal oven. Two come with the OG. They will not last the drive home.
Tabouli.
Parsley, tomato, burghul, lemon. The fresh, sharp thing that makes the whole plate work. You can also swap the tabouli for coleslaw at no extra cost – just ask when you order.
Chips and pickles.
Non-negotiable.
