Charcoal chicken without a fresh, traditional Lebanese salad, is like going to someone’s home without a gift. It just isn’t right. Our range of Lebanese salads, like our chicken salad, fattoush salad, and tabouli salad, are just as delicious as they are fun to say. Say fabulous fattoush six times fast, we dare you.

The Best Charcoal Chicken in Kogarah
At El Jannah Kogarah, flavour isn’t rushed – it’s earned. Our chicken is cooked low and slow over real charcoal, letting that smoky depth sink in all the way through. The result? Juicy meat, crisp char, and the kind of balance that keeps locals coming back again and again. This is more than just grabbing chicken in Kogarah… it’s a charcoal tradition refined over 30 years, done properly for Sydney’s south.
What Makes our Fried Chicken in Kogarah So Crispy
So what sets El Jannah’s fried chicken in Kogarah apart? It starts with taking our time. No shortcuts, no rushing the fryer, and definitely no soggy disappointments. Too many places crank the heat, rush the process, and serve up chicken that’s all oil and no crunch and that’s just not how we do things around here.
Every piece is hand-breaded with our signature spice mix and fried until golden and crisp on the outside, while staying juicy on the inside. Whether you’re grabbing a late-night bite or picking up dinner for the family, this is fried chicken done properly for Sydney’s south. Crunch guaranteed.

Always love coming to El Jannah Kogarah. The chicken is fresh, juicy and full of flavour, and the garlic sauce is honestly the best. The food is always consistent and the portions are generous. Staff are friendly specially zeinab and service is usually quick too. Definitely one of my go-to spots when I’m craving Lebanese chicken. Highly recommend!

El Jannah chicken is pretty much now the same everywhere you go. I give it a four stars because when it’s not busy, you can usually get a nice crispy hot chicken but if it’s busy, they’re turning the chickens around and around and I feel the quality goes down a little bit. You can’t go wrong with a meal here and compare to what’s available in the neighborhood. It’s a good alternative if you’re looking for some good chicken.

The restaurant is acceptable; it is a typical El Jannah establishment. The chicken is satisfactory, although the quality of the charcoal chicken can be inconsistent, occasionally being overly charred or dry. However, the overall experience is acceptable, and the service is prompt.
