The Best Charcoal Chicken in Niddrie

At El Jannah, we take our time — because great charcoal chicken can’t be rushed. Each piece is cooked slowly over open flames to lock in flavour, keep it juicy, and create that signature smoky char. It’s a method we’ve refined over decades, delivering consistency in every bite. This isn’t just charcoal chicken in Niddrie — it’s charcoal chicken done right.

What Makes our Fried Chicken in Niddrie So Crispy

So, what makes El Jannah’s fried chicken in Niddrie stand out? It all comes down to doing things properly. While others rush the process and serve up oily, soggy tenders, we focus on getting every step right.

Each piece is hand-breaded with our signature blend of herbs and spices, then cooked to golden perfection. The result? A crispy, crunchy coating with juicy, flavour-packed chicken inside. No shortcuts, no compromises — just seriously good fried chicken every time.

Staff at the back did an amazing job for my lunch yesterday! Got the charcoal chicken roll, and genuinely it was the best roll I have ever had. The girls working had phenomenal customer service and were all amazing. Would definitely go back to this branch sometime soon.

I ordered a regular charcoal box last Thursday, but I was in a rush and accidentally picked up the wrong takeaway order when “charcoal box takeaway” was called out. I only realised later that it had 1/2 chicken, so it clearly wasn’t mine. My apologies for the mistake.

Very bad experience with employees. I was ready to give order the staff was walking around. No one came for taking my order. After several minutes wait then he came for taking the order. Even No customer service . I come here 3,4 time in a week but this rude staff made me to think not to come here again.

Now I came here expecting merely expecting a sub par fast food experience, boy was I wrong. The second the motor neuron's in my fingertips made contact with the cold el jannah door I was transported into an atmosphere that was warm, welcoming and nothing shy of a blast. Special mention to Isaac Samuel Ragusa, a young man that made my el jannah experience something I will be reminiscing on my death bed.
