What Is Charcoal Chicken?

Dandenong has been home to one of the most popular El Jannah locations. Locals and visitors alike trust us for smoky charcoal chicken, perfectly crispy fries, falafel rolls, and an unbeatable selection of dips. Whether you’re picking up a family dinner, grabbing a quick lunch, or treating yourself to delivery, El Jannah Dandenong delivers the flavour that keeps people coming back.

The Best Charcoal Chicken in Dandenong

Here at El Jannah, we don’t just throw some chicken on a grill and plate it up a handful of minutes later. That’s not how we do things. Nah, we slow-cook everything to really lock in those flavours. Every bite is a perfect balance of flavour, texture, and that unbeatable char. When you’re at El Jannah, you’re not just eating chicken, you’re experiencing a flavour explosion that’s been perfected over 30 years. This isn’t just charcoal chicken in Dandenong. This is the best charcoal chicken in Dandenong. Simple as that.

What Makes our Fried Chicken in Dandenong So Crispy

So, what makes El Jannah’s fried chicken in Dandenong the crispiest, juiciest, and most irresistible around? Want to know the secret? Well okay, but don’t tell anyone. The secret is … we … Cook it! Crazy right? No, really, hear us out for a sec. Too many chicken shops do a rush job when it comes to frying their chicken and then what you end up with is some oil-drenched, soggy sad excuse for a chicken tender. You’re coming home from the club and the only thing you want is something crunchy and that’s what you get? No. We won’t stand for it.

Here at El Jannah, we don’t do anything half-hearted. Each piece of chicken is carefully coated with our special blend of spices and hand-breaded to create that perfect crispy crunch that’s impossible to resist. There will be no tears over soggy tenders for you. We promise.

The food and service are great, there's never much of a wait for food, but there's rarely a table free at popular times. A good problem to have for them I guess, but not for guests. Quick turn over means they dont often get tables cleaned quickly enough to keep up with patrons.
The food is worth the trip in though. Amazing chicken that doesn't feel like eating fatty fast-food.

I cannot rate the service or atmosphere as we got it delivered, but we tried the fried and the normal chicken, both tasted quote nice, tasting this food you will honestly be surprised how good it tastes the fried chicken tastes like a cleaner KFC and the other chicken is like eating Nando's, the chips are also like better KFC chips, I would definitely eat here again

I tried El Jannah Chicken for the first time, and the food was really good. The chicken and chips were served very hot. The garlic sauce was very tasty, and the chips were also great. The atmosphere was nice, though a bit cold. We will definitely go there again.
